GUNMAN OPENS FIRE IN MAJOR US CITY – At Least 5 Victims
Chicago continued it’s descent into violence on Thursday night when two people were killed and three were wounded in shootings that took place over a 40 minute period in the city.
The Chicago Tribune reported that one of the deceased victims has been identified as 16-year-old Davion Tony, who was standing outside in the 1100 block of North Hamlin Avenue at about 6:15 p.m. when a dark-colored sedan pulled up and two people got out and fired shots.
A 24 year-old man and a 33 year-old woman were also injured in this attack. The male suffered gunshot wounds to the left leg and side, and he is in critical condition. The female is in good condition after being shot in the left ankle.
The other deceased victim was 30-year-old Antonio Wilson, who was shot in the head at around 6pm. A vehicle pulled up along side him and a gunman got out and opened fire, killing him instantly.
Though Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the country, it continues to have a dangerously high gun crime rate. Please keep the people of Chicago in your thoughts and prayers!
