First Lady Melania Trump has just been hospitalized due to problems with her kidneys. She was treated at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
The first lady’s office made the following statement: “This morning, First Lady Melania Trump underwent an embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition,” it said.
“The procedure was successful and there were no complications. Mrs. Trump is at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and will likely remain there for the duration of the week. The First Lady looks forward to a full recovery so she can continue her work on behalf of children everywhere,” said the statement.
President Trump left an Israeli independence celebration to go see his wife. “Vice President Mike Pence praises President Donald Trump for standing with Israel, says Trump wanted to be there, but asked Pence to attend so Trump could be with First Lady Melania Trump after her long-planned medical procedure #Israel,” tweeted White House correspondent Michelle Moons.
“Heading over to Walter Reed Medical Center to see our great First Lady, Melania. Successful procedure, she is in good spirits. Thank you to all of the well-wishers!” tweeted President Trump. Are you glad that the first lady is going to be okay?
